Preemie's need all the loving care in the world. As a consequence of being born before they are ready for the wide open world they do not carry enough body fat in order to keep them warm. Incubators are extremely important in the early days after birth. Once home though an optimal environment and warm clothing are important. Clothing needs to be designed with their tiny bodies in mind, including tiny fingers and toes.
