#0081 'Pumpkin Jacqu' Seasonal Baby Boy or Girl Designer Knitting Pattern.

Pumpkin Jacqu is a cute, fun to knit and wear clothing design for babies first Halloween and would look great on those early photos of newborn boys or girls in the Autumn/Fall season. Created flat on straight needles from the bottom up you will receive instructions to make the pumpkin romper, hat, booties and pumpkin leaves in sizes newborn and 0 to 3+ months. The different sizes are achieved by changing needle size and are advised on each pattern.

Stylecraft Special DK yarn (light worsted) has been used throughout while developing this design but any yarn of the same weight, to the same tension can be used as a substitute.

The Pumpkin romper is short sleeved with a round neck and is button fastening to the back of the yoke. Leg length can be adjusted if you would prefer to create a full length romper. The Pumpkin hat features a stalk to the crown which is topped with a pumpkin leaf in keeping with the overall seasonal design. While the Bootees are knitted in squishy garter stitch to accommodate little one's growing toes.

Materials Required:

The Stylecraft Yarns used and the shade numbers are listed on the pattern, but you are not restricted to this wool brand alone.

4 buttons are needed for the back of the romper, with an optional two pumpkin buttons for effect.

Needles required:

3mm and 3.75mm for the relevant newborn size

3.25mm and 4mm for the larger 0 to 3+ months size

Not just for Halloween, create the complete outfit in a solid colour, change the trimmings and you have a lovely romper outfit that can be worn all year round. The completed outfit would also make a great prop for the reborn doll artist to display their seasonal dolls at shows and fairs.
