#0082 'Christmas Pudding Dress Set' Baby Girl Knitting Pattern.

This Christmas Pudding Dress Set is an adorable pattern to knit for a baby girls Christmas Day outfit. It would look so cute on those precious 'first Christmas' photographs.

Knitted flat on straight needles from the bottom up you will receive instructions to knit the dress, headband, mary jane style shoes, holly leaves and berries in sizes Newborn or 3+ months. The different sizes are achieved by changing needle sizes.

The dress is long sleeved with a boat style neck which is button fastening on each shoulder for ease of dressing. Holly leaves topped with a berry are added to the waist line.

The headband is knitted in squishy, stretchy garter stitch and is again topped with holly and a Christmas berry.

Mary Jane Style shoes have a button fastening strap across the instep.

Materials Required:

The Stylecraft Yarns used and the shade numbers are listed on the pattern, but you are not restricted to this wool brand alone.

4 buttons are needed for the dress and two smaller buttons for the shoes.

Needles required:

3mm and 3.25mm for the relevant newborn size

3.35mm and 4mm for the larger size

Not just for Christmas, knit the outfit in a solid colour and change the trimmings and you have a lovely dress set that can be worn all year round. The completed outfit would also make a great prop for the reborn doll artist to display their seasonal dolls at shows and fairs.
